Jeanne Rewa is a life-long horse lover whose journey as an equine artist began as soon as she could pick up a crayon. Her art began as a way of expressing her love for horses and to understand them better. Jeanne has incorporated elements of mindfulness and art therapy into her art practice, which has become a source of solace and healing during years living with chronic illness. No matter what art medium she is using, Jeanne’s work is influenced by her study of traditional Chinese brush painting, which began when she lived in China 2004-2006. She aims to express the essential elements of her subject (feeling, motion, shape) through the use of strong gestures and simplicity. Jeanne’s art has been sold around the world and included in local, regional, and international exhibitions.
